121 students were granted various scholarships including 18 Dr. Suat Günsel Scholarship in the Scholarship Ranking and Entrance Examination. In addition, 19 students were found to be eligible to full education scholarships, 21 students half education scholarships and 63 students quarter education scholarships.
The "Scholarship Ranking and Entrance Exam" organized by the Near East College for the 2022-2023 academic year was held on Saturday, June 4, in two sessions. In the first session of the exam held for Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia College, Near East College, Near East Yeniboğaziçi College, students were asked 27 Mathematics, 10 Science and Technology, 9 Social Studies questions and, in the second session, they answered 27 Turkish and 27 English questions.
18 of students out of 121 who were granted with various scholarship opportunities, won Dr. Suat Günsel Scholarship
As a result of the exam, 18 students who were entitled to receive the Suat Günsel Scholarship, will receive an allowance of 500 TL every month for 9 months every year, without paying any tuition fees. In addition, 19 students were entitled to receive full education scholarships, 21 students half education scholarships and 63 students quarter education scholarships. Thus, 121 out of 633 students who took the exam were entitled to receive a scholarship.

Students who received the Dr. Suat Günsel Scholarship must complete their registration process until 17 June 2022 at the registrar's offices of Near East College, Near East Yeniboğaziçi College and Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia College.
Asım İdris: “Welcome to the Near East Family.”
Asım İdris, Head of Near East Secondary Education, congratulated the students who were granted scholarships and said, "Welcome to the Near East Family." Emphasizing that they will raise their students with the vision of becoming global citizens in the 2022-2023 education period, as they have been doing for 29 years, Asım İdris commented on the success of the Near East College, Near East Yeniboğaziçi College and Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrania College. Emphasizing that the education quality of Near East College has spread to the whole TRNC with its campuses in Nicosia, Kyrenia and Yeniboğaziçi, İdris said, "We graduate our students who have achieved significant success in the YKS and international IGCSE exams as individuals who are ready to compete with the world."
Reminding that only one of the GCE and YKS options are offered to students in colleges, İdris said, "The fact that both GCE and YKS options are available in Near East Colleges provides a great option and advantage compared to the passports and future plans of the children." Asım İdris emphasized that as well as their academic development, they also opened up areas where they could socialize by discovering themselves.
