Students who were entitled to receive education with the Dr. Suat Günsel Scholarship at Near East College visited GÜNSEL with their families.

Students who were granted the Dr. Suat Günsel Scholarship at Near East College, Near East Yeniboğaziçi College and Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia College in accordance with their success in the Scholarship Ranking and Entrance Exam, visited GÜNSEL with their families. Accompanied by Near East Secondary Education Director Asım İdris and Near East Secondary School Director Ömer Özkan, the students and their families hosted by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel.

The students, who took a test drive with the B9, the first model of GÜNSEL, the local and national car of the TRNC, with their families, also toured with great interest the production facility where GÜNSEL was developed. After the tour at the production facilities, the Near East Enterprises Chairman of the Board of Trustees and GÜNSEL Chairman of the Executive Board Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel gave a detailed presentation about the development process and features of GÜNSEL and answered the questions of the students.

Full marks to GÜNSEL from students!
Examining GÜNSEL B9 and its production facilities with great curiosity and excitement, the students also shared their opinions about GÜNSEL. Suat Yılmaz, who came first in the Scholarship Ranking and Entrance Exam held by the Near East Colleges, said that he was very impressed with the test drive and the production area. Yılmaz said, “I want to be a good engineer in the future. Maybe when I grow up, I will be a part of GÜNSEL”.

While Adahan Kalyoncu said that he was most impressed by the test drive he carried out with the GÜNSEL B9, Esma Deniz Sencer stated that the carbon fiber parts used in the production of the GÜNSEL B9 drew her attention the most. Demir İlhan also stated that he enjoyed their visit to GÜNSEL very much.

Congratulating the students who were granted the Dr. Suat Günsel Scholarship, GÜNSEL Chairman of the Executive Board Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, “We wanted you to see up close that there is no limit to what can be achieved in our country by hosting successful young people who will build the future of our country at GÜNSEL.” Emphasizing the importance of erasing the thought “We can’t do it here, it cannot be realized here” from the minds of the younger generation, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel emphasized that the average age of the team that developed GÜNSEL is 27 and said to the students, “Always keep your self-confidence and continue to follow your dreams.”

Answering curious questions from students about GÜNSEL’s features and mass production preparations, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, “You are now an integral part of the Near East Family. With the qualified education you will receive at our colleges, you will set big goals and work to turn these goals into reality.

Ömer Özkan, the Director of Near East Secondary Schools, who accompanied the students throughout the trip, said that while the Near East Colleges were preparing their students for the future with the qualified education opportunities they provided, they also developed their visions intertwined with many important projects developed by the Near East University, which is among the best universities in the world.

“We wanted to inspire our students and their families by visiting GÜNSEL, the national and domestic car of our country,” said Özkan, adding, “We graduate our students, who have achieved significant success in the YKS and international IGCSE exams, as individuals ready to compete with the world. On the other hand, we train them not only with the most advanced academic equipment but also ensure them to be some the most qualified world citizens in terms of vision.”
