The “Scholarship Ranking and Entrance Exam” organized by Near East College, Near East Yeniboğaziçi College and Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia College for the 2023-2024 academic year was held on Sunday, June 4th. As a result of the exam, which was carried out with intense participation of applicants, 28 of applicants were granted the Dr. Suat Günsel Scholarship, and a total of 137 applicants were awarded various scholarships.

137 students received scholarships

Students who will continue with the Suat Günsel Scholarship will receive an allowance of 500 TL every month for 9 months without paying any school fees. In addition, 10 students were entitled to a full scholarship, 30 students to a half scholarship and 69 students to a quarter scholarship.

Asım İdris, Head of Near East Secondary Education, congratulated the students who were awarded scholarships in the exam they held and said, “Welcome to the Near East Family.”

Emphasizing that the Near East Colleges left behind the 30th anniversary of their establishment this year, İdris said, “We graduate our students, who have achieved significant success in the YKS and international IGCSE exams, as individuals who are ready to compete with the world.”

Ömer Özkan: “Having both GCE and YKS options in Near East Colleges provides a great option and advantage compared to children’s passports and future plans.”

Reminding that only one of the GCE and YKS options is offered to the students in colleges, Near East Secondary School Director Ömer Özkan said, “The fact that both GCE and YKS options are available in Near East Colleges provides a great option and advantage compared to the future plans of the children.” Özkan stated that while maximizing the academic development of the students, they provide opportunities for them to discover themselves, socialize and prove themselves in many fields, from sports to culture, in national and international fields.
